Wax PrototypingWhat file type do you require to make a wax?We accept STL, Rhino and Matrix files. What is the resolution of the wax models? Our machine has a resolution of 0.016mm or 16 microns. Can your waxes be directly cast? Yes the wax is 100% real wax and will melt around 75°c for a perfect burnout every time. Will you sign a Non disclosure agreement? Yes, as long as you provide the agreement to us. Once your order has been processed we will delete the files unless otherwise told to. How long do you keep the CAD files? Once the prototype has been made the file is then deleted. How long will it take to create a wax prototype? Usually it takes 2-3 working days. It can be done quicker if needed urgently, if this is the case then please give us a call, as it may affect the cost. Why are your wax prototyping prices better than everyone else? We have very few expenses and a very quick prototyping machine, and are able to pass on savings to our customers. How fragile are the waxes? Our waxes are quite fragile and need to be handled with extreme care. Is there any shrinkage on your waxes? At most there is a 1% shrinkage to wax, it's usually less than 1%. How do I send you my CAD file? If the files is less than 20mb then email it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Lost Wax CastingWhat metals can you cast?We currently cast Platinum 950, 18ct White Gold and Sterling Silver. We are also running trials casting in Steel and Titanium. If you require casting in a different metal please do not hesitate to contact us and discuss options. What are your casting prices? Metal prices can change daily, thus casting prices are constantly varying. For an accurate quote please contact us. How often do you cast? We currently cast Platinum and 18ct White Gold once a week. What platinum metal do you use? We are using Platinum 950, with 5% cobalt. How much palladium is in your 18ct white gold? We use a very high palladium content to get a nice white on the white gold. The palladium amount is around 12%. Computer Aided DesignCan you make a CAD of my image?Yes it is preferable if you have an image, as this will speed up the process. How long does it take to make the CAD model? The actual work can take anywhere from 20 minutes to a full day. If you require an urgent job then please inform us. OtherWhat are your payment terms?For Wax Prototyping and Casting payment must be in full before the item is dispatched. What are your payment methods? We currently accept all major credit cards except Amex, cheques and bank transfer. What methods of shipment do you offer? We use both FedEx UK and Royal Mail Special Delivery. How much do you charge for delivery? We have a flat fee of £9.50 per delivery. |
